Clinical Details

Clinical and radiological findings:  35 year old woman falling from height ecchymosis and swelling

Preoperative Plan

Planning remarks:  surgery was delayed for 2 weeks for edema and swelling bone graft and plate fixation

Surgical Discussion

Patient positioning:  lateral dekübitis

Anatomical surgical approach:  extended lateral approach

Operative remarks: 

The posterior facet was displaced medially.Posterior facet was reduced with a single incision without the need for the medial second incision.

Postoperative protocol:   ROM after 1 week, partial toe walking after 6 weeks, walking with full weight bearing after 3 months, C vit D vit

Orthopaedic implants used:   anatomic plate
