Clinical Details

Clinical and radiological findings:  51-year-old female patient traffic accident distal femur tip 3 open fracture and knee dislocation ,defective extansör mechanism and a very dirty wound norovasculer examination normal

Preoperative Plan

Planning remarks: 

Surgical Discussion

Operative remarks: 

1)First surgery debridement and ex fix done and the joint and knee was reduced.

2)debridement(every 48 hours)

3)Quadricdeps tendon,patella,patellar tendon full enfected(all excised)

4)skin normal but no extensor mechanism

5)knee anterior very thin so I fixed with medial and lateral plate (iliak bone graft)(no intramedüller nail),Knee artroplasty femoral cutting block

Different lengths of plate to avoid peri-implant fracture

6)the patient is mobilized without pain

Orthopaedic implants used:   canulluted screw and ex fix /// dcp
