Clinical Details

Clinical and radiological findings:  17 years old male referred to our center with history of malunited fracture left femur since the last 9 months prior to his presentation , he had history of MVA admitted in ICU for 2 months in his primary hospital

Preoperative Plan

Planning remarks:  Pt had leg length discrepancy about 9 cm ,no signs of infection X ray showed malunited mid shaft fracture femur left side with

Surgical Discussion

Patient positioning:  On traction table

Anatomical surgical approach:  Lateral approach

Operative remarks: 

Osteoclases of the fracture site done till the union disrupted then application of the TSF done

Postoperative protocol:   I used the program of lengthening as the alignment looks fine Once the two bone ends meet I did over lengthenin for 2 cm I remove TSF then I waited for 2 weeks , then interlocked intramedullary nail was done as usual

Orthopaedic implants used:   Tylor spatial frame then converted to interlocked nail
