Clinical Details

Clinical and radiological findings:  52yo male with motorcycle accident and posterior hip dislocation with posterior acetabular wall fracture.

Surgical Discussion

Operative remarks: 

We made ORIF through Kocher-Langenbeck approach. First, we rule out subchondral impaction. Then, we reduced the fracture and fixed with spring plates, ensuring they were out of sciatic notch. Finally, we put reconstruction 3,5mm plate in posterior column.

We started a non weight-bearing protocol but allowing complete ROM.

I love this case. Screw placement is spot on, but those two 1/3rd tubular plates modified and hooking the rim - excellent work
