Surgical Discussion

Operative remarks:

The management protocol for subtrochanteric femur fractures has evolved, as the earlier fixation options led to implant failure and high rates of nonunion. The subtrochanteric portion of the femur is the stress concentration of the thigh because of the group of surrounding muscles which are the main deforming forces upon fracture.Biological reduction methods such as closed methods and mini-open methods in reducing the subtrochanteric fractures have been described in literature.we applied a mini-open incision reduction using a bone clamp to our patient.
