Clinical and radiological findings: 28 y old male H/o MVA with open tibia fracture treated elsewhere with debridment and ext fixation shifted later to plate and screws Referred later to our unit with chronic osteomyelitis and infected plate
Planning remarks: Clinically there is wound infection with discharge and dehiscence X ray showed non union and dignz of chronic osteomyelitis
Removal of plate and screws
Debridment of bone and soft tissues
Placement of cement impregnated with antibiotics
Fixation with bone transport circular frame
Staged distal osteotomy 3 weeks later in addition to removal of cement
Postoperative protocol: Treatment achieved successfully
Follow up: During the follow up , 3 months after removal of the frame patient had a fall and fracture at lengthening site Treated successfully in a well molded cast till union achieved
