Beta testing has started

When we look back 9 months to mid 2020 and consider that this website existed as nothing more than a whimsical idea spitballed over the operating table, it’s with a sense of accomplishment that in March 2021 we're now releasing the first beta phase test of a near fully functioning website. We are surgeons first (and web development experts a faaarrr second) so the evolution of this site has occurred squeezed between cases and after work, often rolling on into the small hours of the morning. I am indebted to my web design team without whom we would likely never have gotten this idea off the ground, and even then, without the ongoing dedication and skills the implementation of a lot of the functionality of the site simply would not have been possible. There are still a lot of areas in which this site will continue to evolve and develop over time. But let’s not put the cart before the horse. This first stage of beta testing will be concentrating on the core functionality of case generation and the implementation of case discussion and our peer review scoring system. These features are already functioning, but will continue to be fine-tuned over the next few weeks. Parallel to this expansion of the ctalogue contents we will be pushing the search capabilities of the database, making the finding of relevant cases and data easier and more accurate. The goal is for an open release of the platform by the beginning third quarter 2021. By that time we will strive to have a fully searchable, filterable, sortable, database of increasing depth and complexity allowing uses to drill down on all aspects of a case including anatomical location, fracture classification, materials and implants, and surgical techniques - and that all filterable and sortable by the location of the surgeon and surgical specialty. We look forward to the course of this beta phase test! We would like to thank our beta testers for their time and patience with this process and we look forward to your feedback in the ongoing development of this website.
